Welcome To Hope For Destitute Kids Liberia/West - Africa

Appreciation

We know you have a lot of choices when it comes to donating and we are so grateful that you chose to donate to our cause. We promise to be responsible stewards of both your donation and trust.

Through your donation, we are able to feed 45 children in our care every month. As a result of your generosity, these kids can now go to bed without hunger and with smiles on their faces. Unless before were these children go to bed hungry. Let no child goes to bed hungry, no matter his or her color, ethnicity and location.

Luke 14:13-14

But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the blind, crippled, the lame and you will be blessed. Although they can’t repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.

Isaiah 58:10-14

Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and darkness around you will be bright as noon.

The Children Are Our Future

Hope For Destitute Kids: Liberia/West Africa which  endeavors to provide the needs (education, feeding, clothing, provision of safe drinking water, etc.) to underprivileged children in Liberia. HFDKL was established in 2014.

The organization’s existence is constructed on the lesson learned from the outbreak of the Ebola virus disease and from the dark days of Liberia’s ugly past (14 years of civil crisis). Stimulating an unbending effort to promote the progression of our national trajectory reflectively we recalled that the consequence of the aftermath of the fourteen years of civil conflict and the Ebola virus disease left many children to become orphans. Many do not have the basic social services. As a result, some end up begging, while others end up not being in school. Many are exposed to abuse.

14 years on following the end of the civil crisis and the 2014 Ebola virus outbreak leave us with these questions.

1. How many has been achieved on the part of government in addressing

the needs of it’s especially destitute children?

2. To what extent children’s vulnerability/exposure has been addressed?

These among others triggered the establishment of Hope For Destitute Kids Liberia with a grassroots approach that set’s underprivileged children as priority and agenda the mobilization of all stakeholders’ including local communities in order to give our future generation the future we envisioned- an enabling environment where they will not be only refer to as destitute children but an environment where their potential are tapped and developed to bring out the best in them to contribute meaningfully to the development of Liberia.
